JOŽEF STEFAN DAYS

Each year since 1993 at the end of March the Institute organises the Days of Jožef Stefan to popularise science and to mark the birthday of this great Slovenian physicist. During this week, which covers March 24 - the birthday of Jožef Stefan, we carry out a series of events, lectures by renowned scientists and other creators, exhibitions art works, the open day and the awarding of the golden emblem of Jožef Stefan. The aim is to bring the work of the Institute closer to the wider public and, above all, to motivate younger generations to enter into research and innovation. The events of the Jožef Stefan Days are attended by many visitors who are interested in our work, as well as representatives of the media and politics.
