Dear friends,
We organized the first ARK in Ljubljana in 1988. The decision to continue organizing these
symposia came spontaneously and was based on our friendship and commitment to the highest
professional standards. I have been fortunate to participate in all seventeen events and
served as the (co)chairman. The next ARK will be held in 2020 again in Ljubljana; it will be my last
ARK symposium. As I announced in Bologna in 2018, I’ll leave my position so as to allow the
younger generation to take over. I hope to see you all in Ljubljana. You are most warmly invited.
